The Opportunity:
We are seeking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Superintendent for our Manitoba Business Unit (“MBU”) including the development and maintenance of a variety of financial models, analyses and processes which support management reporting, financial accounting and strategic decision making.

Responsibilities:
- Short Range Planning (SRP)
- Maintain and own the SRP model for review of the management prior to submission to Controller and Executive Director’s review.
- Prepare the monthly management report and budget reports for review
- Maintain the Short Range Plan (SRP) and compare it with individual components and scenarios for overall accuracy
- Identify and coordinate with the stakeholders in case of any discrepancies
- Manage the overall budget and forecast submission in the SRP. Analyzing outputs and following up on unexpected variances.
- Run ad-hoc scenarios as needed.
- Ad Hoc Modeling Service
- Act as the center of modeling and continuous process improvement for the team
- Perform and assist with analysis on different operational areas (for example: production, costs relating to capital and opex decisions).
- Prepare and maintain mini financial models
- Ad-hoc models as requested
- Long Range Plan Support
- Provide support including analysis for the inputs and drivers (production, operating costs, capital) included in the long-range plan
- Work, validate and coordinate with Corp FP&A and stakeholders for timely and accurate inputs for the LRP process.
- Provide Analysis as required for inputs; identify major differences and present for management review.
- Review the LRP compared to SRP to provide corporate with feedback, identify and incorporate changes to the SRP or LRP.
- Production Accounting
- Responsible for production reporting for actuals, budgets and forecasts including analysis and presentations.
- Work closely with production team, align and incorporate updates into the production model based on the operational process changes.
- Compliance
- Have in place actions that will provide integrity, timely and relevant information flow, openness and transparency, effective risk management, and sound controls;
- Take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation, regulations, policies, work standards, and governance.
- Maintains internal control and Sox compliance. Raises any issues timely.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education & Background
- Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CFA designation is a strong asset
- Experience in the mining or heavy industry sector is a plus
- Technical Expertise
- Solid financial modeling background using valuation principles (DCF, NPV, ROIC, IRR) and modeling best practices
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards, ideally within mining or natural resources
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, executive-ready presentations and visualizations

Compensation & Benefits Package:
- Base Salary & Allowance: $146,000 – $161,000 annually ($135,000 – $150,000 base salary + $11,000 universal housing allowance)
- Incentives: 20% target STIP cash bonus + 10% LTIP grant
- Paid Time Off & Holidays: 4 weeks (160 hours) paid vacation to start, personal leave days and paid company holidays

- Defined Contribution Pension Plan: Up to 8% total employer contribution (5% automatic + up to 3% voluntary match) with immediate vesting
