The Copper Mountain mine currently produces approximately 100 million pounds of copper equivalent per year. With a future mill expansion and the integration of New Ingerbelle, the Copper Mountain Mine is expected to produce approximately 140 million pounds of copper equivalent per year over the first 20 years of its 32-year mine life based on reserves. The Opportunity:

 

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a PM Coordinator at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 5x2, Monday to Friday, day shift schedule.

 

Please note that this opportunity is NOT a fly-in-fly-out position.

Position

Preventative Maintenance (PM) Coordinator

 

Location

Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors.  Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.

 

Summary

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Superintendent, the PM Coordinator will primarily support the Mine Maintenace Planners and Schedulers with data preparation to ensure equipment preventative maintenance is scheduled and executed on time and equipment end user feedback leads to the generation and execution of work orders to address equipment deficiencies.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Daily data input into Maximo, including hour meter readings and equipment deficiencies, to allow for timely PM and backlog deficiency work order scheduling,
  • Keep meticulous records and maintain information databases,
  • Assist with filling in for Mine Maintenance scheduling duties as needed,
  • Support with Mine Maintenance Department administrative tasks,
  • Work effectively with various other site departments,
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education,
  • Good computer skills and experience using Google Workspace,
  • Previous experience with Maximo is an asset,
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have access to personal transportation,
  • Training will be provided for the job-specific tasks.

  • Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.

 

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with frequent exposure to Maintenance Shop, Field Maintenance and Mine Operations areas,
  • Team environment with regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings,
  • Work includes manual dexterity to use desktop computers and peripheral devices,
  • Working outside exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

 

Salary Range

$85K - $100K / annum
