Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent Workforce Management, the Timekeeper is responsible for timekeeping support and providing related administrative support to the HR department to ensure all employees in area of responsibility are paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring employee timesheets to ensure accuracy, including verifying scheduled hours versus actual hours worked,
- Ensuring time records adhere to company policies and regulations, including tracking Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals and usage,
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with field supervisors or operations leadership,
- Maintain organized records of time sheets and supporting documentation,
- Meet daily and weekly time submission deadlines,
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as required.
Education & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration,
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably at an operating mine or similar industrial environment,
- Basic knowledge of mining procedures
- Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with Google Workspace and MS Office Suite
- Experience in HRIS systems such as Ceridien Dayforce or other timekeeping software considered an asset.
- Possess a valid Class 5/7N British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

- Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.
Working Conditions
- Frequent exposure to a team environment with regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings,
- Regular exposure to sitting at a computer doing work online,
- Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
Salary Range
$62-74K / annum
