Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations, development properties and exploration activities across the Americas principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals.

The Opportunity:

• We are seeking an Underground Construction Miner for our Lalor Mine in Snow Lake, MB.
• 7/7 rotation, 11.5 hr shifts, days/nights
• Please note this is not a “fly-in-fly-out” opportunity. We do have a camp available for those who wish to drive in and out to Snow Lake. Although Relocation packages and housing assistance are available to move you and your family to the vibrant community of Snow Lake

Responsibilities:

• Interprets drawings, determines and procures tools, equipment: operates utility hoist.
• Checks, installs, repairs, maintains, and dismantles underground structures such as chutes, barricades, travel ways, timber sets, manyways, bulkheads, and other service lines, grizzlies, ventilation doors, etc.
• Constructs forms and pours concrete, or lays concrete/fibre blocks for chutes, pumps, fans, dams, bulkheads, powder magazines, etc.
• Sets up and dismantles concrete mixing and placing machines, constructs forms and blowes concrete for chutes, dams, bulkheads, etc.
• Operates mobile equipment to prepare work area, scales and supports loose ground by installing timber, wire mesh, strapping and rock bolts.
• Installs utility hoist, fans, pumps, air cylinders, etc.
• Drills, loads, connects, assigned gaurads, and blasts slash or hitches as required

Prerequisites:

• Underground mining experience required

Compensation Package:

•  $35.88/hr plus Underground Bonus
•  Profit sharing
