The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk & Desktop Support Specialist to provide excellent end-user support and ensure optimal performance of our IT infrastructure. You will troubleshoot issues, install software, manage desktop devices, and provide prompt, friendly service to internal customers. The primary focus of this role will be supporting the printer/copier fleet.

The role is located in the vibrant community of Snow Lake, MB on 4 days on/3 days off schedule, with some travel to our Flin Flon, MB operations. For those who do not wish to relocate, camp accommodations are available during days on with some travel assistance provided.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical support to end-users, resolving software and hardware issues with a focus on printer/copier repair.
  • Install and maintain software, manage desktop devices, and troubleshoot network connectivity.
  • Proactively identify and resolve IT problems, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Maintain a knowledge database and call tracking system to ensure efficient and effective support.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an end-user desktop support role.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Office 365, and iOS/Android mobile devices.
  • Experience with DNS, Active Directory, Wi-Fi, imaging, and scripting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A+ and/or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certifications are preferred.
