The Opportunity: We are seeking Red Seal Instrumentation Mechanics for our Snow Lake Mill.

Responsibilities:

• Receives instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders from supervision or operations.
• Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument operation and application of the mechanical, electrical and electronic robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic radio active principles involved in their installation, repair, testing and calibration.
• Analyzes and designs types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, modify, or service all types of instrumentation and electronic devices and systems; including communication, monitoring, control, measuring, recording, processing, and indicating devices and systems.
• Investigates process related instrument problems, selects logical approach to "trouble shooting," plans details of working procedure and determines material or replacement needs, to minimize interference to operation.
• Creates drafts and records revisions of parts and layouts, and designs and constructs adaptations or conversions of component parts.
• Dismantles, assembles, installs, cleans, inspects, adjusts, calibrates, tests, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of instrumentation and electronic devices; makes related mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Maintains, installs, repairs, or splices all types of process tele-communication and instrumentation cable or wiring: takes necessary safety precautions including proper isolation of circuits.
• Fabricates parts using machine and hand tools common to the trade; solders and brazes as required
• Works in shop or field. Perform calibration of specific scales to compliant standards as per ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.

Prerequisites:

• Must be a Red Seal Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic
• Experience in mining is preferred

Schedule:

• 7/7 Rotation, Thursday-Wednesday
• 11.5hr shifts

Compensation Package:

• $47.91/hour Base, Weekend Premiums
