The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst to satisfy IT system users through the maintenance and enhancement of computer applications. This is achieved by rolling out new features of current applications and adding on reporting. This individual will also correct issues and provide automation to and from the current applications and new IT systems as required.
The main focus will be on the ERP system Ellipse and the Maintenance Module.
To meet corporate guidance, their activities will be provided with maintainability, auditability, and control. Specialization in Metals, Exploration, and Plant Maintenance (PM).
The role will primarily be remote with some travel required to our Snow Lake, MB site on a Monday-Friday schedule.

What you'll do:
- End-User Support:
- Provide exceptional support to end-users, resolving system issues and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Proactively monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
- Build and maintain a knowledge base to enhance support efficiency and effectiveness.
- IT System Design:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for IT solutions.
- Lead client needs assessments, prioritize business needs, and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to short- and long-term IT planning, aligning technology with business goals.
- Analyze client operations to identify opportunities for improvement and process optimization.
- IT System Maintenance and Development:
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance system functionality and address user needs.
- Follow appropriate change management methodologies to minimize disruption and risk.
What you'll bring:
- 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (Hitachi Ellipse) is an asset. Ellipse 9.x experience is an asset.
- Expertise in BI, report design, and specifically with Jasper Reporting is an asset.
- Exceptional working knowledge of Plant Maintenance, Asset Management, Equipment and Safety.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in training and mentoring others.
- Strong SQL Server Transact-SQL skills.
